If you’d videoed my and my friends’ childhoods it would have looked almost exactly like that. I spent so much of it in hospital (including for a fractured skull) they should have given me a loyalty card and IIRC, when I was about 11, I had something like 37 x-rays in a 12 month period. I should glow in the dark really! My mum was immensely relieved I managed to make it to young adulthood more or less in one piece, only for me to take up playing American Football and start riding motorbikes
My ex-missus used to have a friend whose son's middle name was literally "Reckless". Apparently it was in memory of a guy with that nickname who'd been one of her husband's best friends but had sadly died. Unfortunately I can't remember whether his early demise was from natural causes or as a result of some sort of Jackassery.
