I believe they are Rizoma Spy's. It is the small version. Just Gorgeous! But my bike only came with 1. I bought new mirrors... but after i removed the bolt I am looking at the expanding part stuck tight in the en of the bar... The new bolt is the wrong size so I cannot just move forward. On the other side is the Ducati Performance lever protector... Please chime in if removing that will be different. Mirror side Lever side Thanks in advance Rex
I know nothing about Rizoma Spys but to release the expanding section on most bar end fitments you just unscrew the bolt a turn or two and give the end of it a sharp tap. This will separate the taper and allow you to remove it on the end of the bolt. And your pictures don't show.
The photo appeared in your 2nd post but not in the first. If you can see them in your first then I’d guess they are linked to the file address on your computer still and haven’t properly uploaded. Anyway, it looks like the spreader bolt has come out as well. Can you get a pair of pliers on the ends, squeeze them together and then pull?
So... I am not supposed to remove the bolt all together? Just loosen and remove... Thanks and no, in my original post they were there after i looked but are not now. I may be running up against a size cap for the day. Rex
Yep, Tightening the bolt splays the fitting to make it tight, loosening the bolt releases the pressure so it can be pulled out and removed. That's the theory anyway. I 'm not aware there is a size cap on here. Videos are a no no, have to link to them on YT or something similar, but photos are fine.
Does the pic look right? Does it look like there is epoxy or something? Seems like some kind of black goo... I dont want to ruin whats there... and then not be able to put the Rizoma back on. negating the chance that I could just buy one more. and or ruining my bars I like the much cheaper mirrors I bought. So far. They are not installed yet so who knows. BUT More than that. I dont want to not be able to ride!!!!!!! Rex

And... Tada! I went back to the garage... Gave the stuck part a stern look and moved forward with the... If I mess it up I get Custom Bars!!! As soon as the stuck expansion piece heard that it practically fell out. With a little persuasion... Naturally trying pics again without checking anything because I am a man...
