Do people shag (dream of) electric sheep.....? Slightly more seriously, i wonder what the aerodynamics of that are like, as a rider. As a looker - plug ugly - and the rider does not look comfortable ( probably cos he has seen he's been caught on camera.) Where would ET put his Kriega luggage?
Check out their website - in red it looks even worse ! The front suspension appears to be some kind of girder forks and looks to be almost vertical - it looks like it should handle like a pig on roller-skates... They claim to have spent 70,000 hours on the design of this thing, so how come they came up with something so ungainly and so damn ugly ? I mean... Seriously... W T F ? ! ? !
I have to say, as a City-bike it was kinda cool. Have to use a ruckdack (intentional by the way) if you want to carry anything
designing something to look like a busted arse is not gonna encourage someone to go electric. cant imagine there would be many with the brass neck to ride that.
In all seriousness, who is it aimed at? A commuter needs somewhere to chuck a bag, and at least an effort at weather protection. Any rain is going to run right into your nuts! It doesn't look like it'll survive the city bike bays well either. Now, look at BMW's commuter, the C1. Full weather protection, a big box for your luggage, and 60+ MPG. Combine it with good looks and you've got a winner ;-)
Holy feckin' shite, just had a look at the website, £20,000!!!!!!! Someone is having a laugh, surely?
