Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Johnball, May 4, 2021.

  1. Just a simple question , Ive got an intermitent problem on me 996 and im hoping iawdiag might save me some time..
Question is..... is it ok to turn off ignition before i hook up iawdiag to get the error codes or must I keep the ignition on....Basicaly are the error codes stored ?? ecu is 16m

    Cheers

  2. Not sure about Ducati but on my Tuono I have to switch the ignition on, it then reads the ecu so I can read the error codes and read write the maps off the ECU.

  3. Not an ECU I have worked with. Do not know if fault codes are stored. However, this video of JPDiag Old in action suggests they are not.

  4. Yes but im using Iaw diag v0.5 which covers the 16m and it appears to recover stored faults ?

    anyone?
