  2. MTS 1200 MY 2010-14, standard sprockets
Rear sprocket-swingarm sprocket alignment is: rear wheel travel 63mm (from 170mm travel) compressed
Chain sag is up to 5mm less when warm from running.

  4. If it’s manual preload why on ethics would you wind it off when the adjustment will then be wrong for the bike setting??!!!!!

With skyhook I get softest to use as that’s the max length, which makes a bit slack in other modes.

  5. Typical engineer* mistake, there.

  6. Perfect chain tension = Loose but not sloppy :)

  7. I’m not an engineer so I’m intrigued to know how sprocket size effects this.

I’m standard rear but 14t front.

    Thanks.

  9. That is a really good point! I went down one tooth on the front and up one on the rear so it might not make a huge difference? Oh well, I also downsized to 525 chain so it will be more "elastic" now so, sweet as!

  10. Still don't know why you would wind it back? Then when you change it, the chain slack will change. Defeats the object IMHO

  14. also remember, a too loose chain tension causes
    bad function of a quickshifter
