This one is strange.... As my other post....got it yesterday - its come from the other end of the country so getting it back is difficult/a bit pointless... Left indicator works fine - Right indicator - I push the switch, the light on the dash doesn't flash but the indicators pulse faster and a little bit dimmer. If I pull the rear bulb (haven't tried the front) or pull the plug under the seat and push it back in it flashes properly. I swtich the indicator off at the handlebar and do it again....same thing happens. Anyone seen that??
Sounds like bad earth/dirty connection try unplugging each connection and cleaning. (maybe with some emery cloth or something).
3 things to check 1 Connections like already been said 2 Are the bulbs the correct wattage 3 Has the dash been programmed for the correct indicator system ........ leds or conventional bulbs Not fully sure how to do the programming but its something like ............. hold the function button on the left handlebar down or up (not sure which ) and then switch ignition key on .........it takes you into another menu system for ......... indicators , kms or miles and maybe other things
Ah. Cool. ThaI fo's something I didnt know you could do.... I've just secured a set of the original foldy - out mirrors so they'll be going back to stock... They should be here the end of this week. I did pull the front bulb and the rear one flash fast like it should so at this point I'd say it's the front but they're going anyway.... If you can set the indicator mode I've just ordered an integrated rear light.... Does that mean I need the resistors? Thanks for the info.
i had a problem with my indicators once...everytime i moved the switch they would flash, on then off, then on again and off etc...got so annoyed i just took them off completely.
I kinda knew that was coming...... I agree..... I tend not to like sticky outy things on my bikes... Indicators, mirrors etc etc one of the reasons I like the foldy mirrors.... Fold them in.... No indicators sticking out... Just ordered an Integrated back light/indicator combo.... And spoke to a fabricator about a tail tidy.... I got some ideas...
All ready on order my friend from the Huang Dong province or somewhere like that....ive ordered an integrated light where the indicators are inside the rear light. Will it pass the MOT - no - they changed the law last november 2 weeks after i spent 150 quid on the equivalent light for my RSV4. They (the man) changed the law so the indicators have to be a set distance away from the back light. However - ive got a stock setup for my rsv where when the mot comes up (soon) i can just bolt it on (standard plate, indicators, reflector) get it stamped and then switch it back. Takes about 10 mins. Im applying the same theory to the Hyper ( you dont have to take the whole light back out - just unplug the internal indicators and re-route to the external ones). Hopefully ill have a custom tail tidy on there in the next 2 weeks. Fabricator said once ive got a template then he can rattle off more if needed. Once its on ill take some photos - if anyones interested ill get more made.
Nice. I could be interested in a tail tidy. I was considering an integrated light but I heard you can't seethe Iindicators while braking. I'm not too bothered about changing things for mot but I do want bright indicators (may help drivers notice them while texting).
Never had that problem. I've always found them to be pretty neat.... I'll take photos when it's done.
