Does anyone know what kind of injectors ducati use on the 999s model 2005/6? I see a straight line instead of an shower. Desmoracing says thats stock with straightlines.. and shower is an upgrade..
According to the BSD (Bike Sport Developments) website: Standard is a yellow band (IWP069). Upgrade is a violet band (IWP189). Both Magneti Marelli. The latter needs to be remapped, apparently.
I think you’ve been given some confusing information: “shower” refers to the position of the injector, above the intake trumpet as you have is actually normally referred to as shower style. Your stock injectors have a single hole, the purple banded injectors (as from 1098 etc) have 12 holes, hence quite different atomisation and remapping required.
