Inside Of Fuel Tank

  1. Apologies if this has been covered before...

What is the best way of cleaning the inside of a fuel tank ?
I have a fairly solid replacement to fit to my ST4, in place of the old (slightly leaky) one, but there is some surface rust on the inside. I want it to be "fit and forget". What is the best way of cleaning the surface rust off the inside? And is it worth using some kind of sealer or tank liner?
    Ideas please...

  2. POR15 is a three part preparation where the final coat is an ethanol proof paint that bonds to the inside of the tank. I have used it successfully as have others on here and is definitely DIY. Andy
