Thought I'd ask the wisdom of the forum. My mate had his Audi S3 nicked 1.5 weeks ago (North UK). The insurance has already paid him for it, then 3 days ago the police found the vehicle, and he was notified. Where does he stand? He was happy enough with what he received from the payout. Does he have to accept the return of the car? Could he in theory buy it back from the insurance company? Could he just keep the payout and say he does not want the car returned? Cheers.
If the insurance company has paid your friend for the stolen car, the deal is done, the car now belongs to the insurance company and the insurance company should be notified that it has been found. If he wants the car back (although it's very likely to have suffered damage & incurred recovery costs), some insurance companies would consider an offer, other companies won't. I'm surprised an insurance company paid out so quickly! Well done them!
There you go again. Tidying up the mess that's left everywhere. And I am in Beaconsfield now. I drove here I drove here and that will be the furthest that I've driven or ridden since my accident but I could do no more in a day
