Is there such a thing as Fixed Service Costs for Ducati?

  1. Had my first service today and was sure that I had read somewhere that it was £160, or have I just imagined it? :upyeah:

  2. you just getting an oil change only then lol :)

  3. lol, it was the first 625 mile service so yeah, basically it was an oil change. lol Cost £200 though...

  4. I booked the SF in for it's 600 mile service the other day to be told it would be £140 - £150. I still thought the 1st service was the cost of materials only. I did get a bit of a shock at that.

  5. Mine was free.

  6. Mine too :upyeah:

  7. I service my own bike, purely because I've seen how much my brother pays for his 1098S. It's bloody shocking in my opinion. Well over a grand last time round (full service, cambelts and chain/sprockets).Even if I could afford a new Ducati I wouldn't be able to afford to run it:frown:

  8. Ducati so have a clear pricing policy, ie that tell you how many hours work each service is. Desmo service on the 1098 is 8 hours for example. This doesn't include parts and new fluids etc

  9. 621 service on my 1199 was 120 quid. Why are the prices different from dealer to dealer?

  10. first service 600-1000mls was free at dg just the cost of oil and filter, done 2 weeks ago,
its the hidden costs that caught me out on the multi 160 for 7500 service plus checking shims plus doing this plus doing that.
still very happy with the bike tho. should do more my self but to be honest cant be arsed after fixing moters all day.

  11. Same here.:upyeah:

  12. Should have said, the 'service' was free, but had to pay for parts (oil etc) which cost as much as a service anywhere else...
