Earthquake leaves at least 37 dead in central Italy - BBC News One of my cousins doesn't live far away from this I've got hold of another cousin (his brother) and he's trying to find out if he's safe.
I've just heard back that he's ok. He felt the earthquake during the night but the town he lives in hasn't suffered badly, which from a personal perspective is good. But my thoughts are with those that have been seriously affected.
My greatest sympathies to anyone affected by this Quake in Italy, Christchurch here in NZ is still a mess even after 5 years, still getting aftershocks too.
Terrible terrible. On the day that scientists get all excited about finding a planet billions of miles away we still cannot predict what our planet does. The number of dead will surely continue to rise.
We are for Misano in the sixth of September , about a hundred miles away I think. The devestation is hard to comprehend , in that heat the emergency services must find it rough going.
