Quick heads up for those staying in tonight, on ITV4 at 19:00 till 20:00 is a documentary on WSB during the 1990's.
I watched this on the ITV player. Its okay. Lots of talking heads shots of Witham and Foggy saying he's amazing alot of the time. Some good footage, but could have easily been made longer and given far more detailed coverage of the season.
I happened to catch that as it was on by pure chance just flicking through the channels, I'd forgotten what an arsehole Fogarty was and him reminiscing about his career proves he's not changed one bit. Foggy, if you are reading this, you are still a tool, but like the muppet you are I think you love this kind of notoriety. Sorry folks, never liked him EDIT: This has got me thinking, I've read most riders books, Rossi's, Sheenes, Roberts ... ETC, had to give Fogarty a chance too, this is the only one I stopped reading about half way through, he mentioned cruelty to animals once and some other stuff that really made think, WTF? his whole attitude to people and life stinks, i recognise he had talent and when he raced well I enjoyed it, but for those that loath Casey Stoner for being a Prima Donna, he is an angel compared to Foggy ... a far better natural racer too. Did I mention I cant stand Carl Fogarty already
I know what you mean. Foggy is a great rider and I loved watching him race, but every time he opens his mouth I think he's a complete twat.
+1 with the Foggy hate. back in the 90's i used to cheer for Gobert in WSB much to the derision of my so called mates. the highlight for me was when we were walking through the paddock at Donny and there was a load of comotion..it turned out Gobert had pissed in Foggy's lid !! you remember..that absolutley fkn massive Shark helmet he wore that was the size of a spacehopper?? He used to look like Frank Sidebottom on that 916!!! View attachment 4508 the final straw came for me when i saw him push a bloke in wheelchair out of the way who was autograph hunting..an utter twat..shame coz he could've been so good for the sport and the country. i also remember a certain british moto gp commentator and former 500cc rider from the 70's, with a famous world champion playboy team mate who used to advertise Brut 33, talking about his attitude when he launched that Petronas GP team..words to the effect of 'he came swaggering in expecting everyone to cow tow to him, lost, humiliated himself and skulked off'.
