I am booked in for a test ride on Saturday (providing the weather is ok), what scares me is the amount of people who have said if you test ride one you will buy one
Yeah, that's how it happened to me. Only did the test ride for completeness so I could be sensible and say I had tested all the competitors to the Triumph, and I had read quite a few negative comments about reliability. But once I was there, I thought hay look at me on a Ducati.
 It's all very worrying, they told me they have no new ones left and informed me about the 2013 model but they have a few used in stock, any tips apart from don't buy it if it's a 2010 model?
Better start getting some insurance quotes  Impossible to resist! Depending on what you want to spend you may find some 2010's are a good buy. I don't really see why they should be any higher risk than 11/12 models providing they've had all the recall updates and full service history. Mine has never let me down.
OYB have stock of new in all colours. I did not think the 2013 would be available for delivery until at least December. Did they mention the price?
They only mentioned there was a revised model for next year (which I already knew) they weren't implying I could order one. OYB?
If you can : go for the 2013! if you can't : wait, as many will change up from 2010 models... Most Duc's love their tech grtz Koen
They have their 2012 Touring demonstrator for sale listed for £13499, 2.5k on the clock, what do we reckon to that price? Seems a little high to me especially as you can get a new one with £1000 of accessories chucked in, part of me is saying go with an used 2010 ABS version for around £9k as I expect these bikes to depreciate quickly but then again I intend to keep hold of it for a good term if I like it after test.
Who told you that? West London Ducati have a row of 4 lined up in the showroom and their demonstrator for sale. I have just ordered one from Riders of Bridgewater and they don't seem short of supply.
I assume it is a small outfit. I think the bigger dealerships have plenty of stock. You can buy from a big dealer and get servicing done by your local, the local dealer should be happy with that. That is what I did.
Ive got a Pikes Peak with loads of extras for sale which i will sell to a forum member for a grand more than that ! Take a look here http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f21/2011-multistrada-1200-pikes-peak-extras-4485/
Boomer yours is a cracking bike but I have a bike to move on and I will need to finance some of the bike. Approx £1000 too optimistic David?
