Not sure if I am allowed to put this up as its 'business' but here goes! I have for a couple of years sold Joe Bar tee shirts and the only book which has been translated into English. Anyway having sold all of the tee shirts and a fair chunk of the books, I now find that I am going to be moving soon and paired to having very little time anyway I am now selling the remaining books at about 50p a book (for 2500 books) even though they sell at £3.99 minimum. Listing is here, contact me via Ebay or on [email protected]: Joe Bar book 1 motorbike Ogri Ducati Honda Suzuki Norton Kawasaki Yamaha bulk | eBay
Hi Guys The 50p a book is only for 500 or more. Otherwise they are the normal £3.99, although obviously I can say give second one half price and reduce postage too (think cost of postage for 2 at cost was £3) so that would be £9 for two including the postage.....
I wonder why only one has been translated into English. They are brilliant and I certainly had all of them at one time (although you lend them to people and never get them back - partly because you forget who you lent them too). If a publisher wanted a translation I'd happily have a shot at it.
They were published by a friend/client of mine who had the book translated. The problem is they are really good quality (hardback, fantastic colour) and so cost a lot of wonga to get printed. I think they cost probably going on for the price I retail them at in fact. The RRP is supposed to be £9.99 but like most books very few places offer them at that price. I have sold a lot to the National Motorcycle Museum, not sure what they have them up at....
