  1. BTW my experience is to pay an extra 10 and get the far more stable Lonetec item

  2. More than a tenner. The full kit is over £30 and the KKL lead over £25.
    If the cheap cable is genuinely FTDI and not Winchiphead then it is a cheap route into bike diagnostics.

  3. Did a test purchase on this cable.

    DO NOT BUY.

    It is WinChipHead based and not FTDI as advertised.

  7. i wanted to buy a cable for my 749 but lonelec website down
    @chrisw any suggestions?

  8. nice thanks. what are the fly leads for on the fiat adaptor?

  9. You need to supply power to the USB cable.

    My advice is, connect the Red to the battery positive and connect the Black to a good earth on the frame or engine.
    By doing this you will avoid damaging the ECU by polarity inversion.

  11. So being dumb I thought that once plugged into the laptop it would have power?

  12. so no fiat adaptor?
