Spotted the above metallic maroon BMW on M1 Dunstable today pulling a car for speeding! Its just not cricket!!
One one that stopped us (pictured) did all 3 of us for careless riding but without actually outlining the offence(s) that happend to cause careless riding plus number plates and one for termi's... It went on for a while with lots of questions from our end, we all fought it and it go dropped before it hit court. Would you believe a Officer of the law would lie!! Stay safe folks
What is the legal situation with decibels these days? The chav corsa's make more noise than my Zard cans yet they seem to be exempt from classification now. Testers discretion?
I nearly got caught out by a silver/black Hyabusa last year, he was YoYoing behind me and something made me stick to the limit and let him pass, in small lettering on the side fairing POLICE and a marked RT following on some distance behind. I was in a group of 5 bikes all spread out and the sod did the same to us all, then the RT blasted past all of us and almost became a bull-bar ornament on an oncoming tractor... Moron! Trying to goad people into speeding up then he hits record on his hidden camera and "Follows for evidence gathering" North Yorkshire plod are a bit notorious for such things, they also had an unmarked S1000RR last year.
Same in Sussex. An ex-colleague had a bit of a play with a Fireblade a few years ago that turned out to be a copper. They don't pull you until you've done enough that they can try for dangerous driving. I pulled out behind a BMW K1300 last year with paniers and everything and all that gave away it was a copper was POLICE written on the back of his jacket in quite small letters. I don't ever let an unknown bike follow me now no matter what bikes it is.
I have CE marked cans but keep the DB killers out. I've never had any grief despite them being quite fruity, wonder where I'd stand legally as the cans themselves are legitimate CE cans.
Same here, always approved cans but very rarely a baffle and usually a 8x6 plate, in the words of a local traffic plod "8x6 is a bit cheeky but not taking the piss as long as it's not a silly font... Fit a letterbox plate and they all read the same to us PU11 MEE" The bikesafe course I did was quite informative.
Unfortunately I'm just the sort of biker who is easily goaded [emoji51] Wonder what would happen if you had your own footage showing the police goading you into it. Obviously left to them they would only show their own edited version of events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My 7x5 plate cost me £100, had a plate of that size for years. All its takes is to get stopped by a Cuntasaurus rex, it wont mater what a friendly local plod told you. You will be waving good by to £100.
Won't make a jot of difference, it's your riding you're in court for not theirs. In the case I mentioned in post #13 above I've seen the evidence video. The pursuing Police Officer's riding was terrible, clearly over riding his abilities to keep my ex-colleague in view. Some of the commentary was similarly dodgy (e.g. "he just tried to pull a wheelie", how can you see that from a following bike unless a wheelie is pulled...how can you try to wheelie an R1 and not wheelie...). The Judge asked why the Police didn't intervene earlier, asked many questions of their riding.....then gave my ex-colleague a massive penalty. As said, don't ever let an unknown bike follow you, regardless of what the bike is. If you let them pass you can always assess them and repass them when safe if necessary.
Well i'd best start letting those bikers in front before unleashing the multi then. Had a bit of a go with another rider on here (found him on the multi spotted section) and it was great fun.
