Recently i had my Key low battery code come up on the dash after having to use the manual emergency button in tank. Got the battery changed whiched seemed to work but now, two weeks later i seem to be having range or no response when i flip down the red kill switch. Has anyone had problems like this please. Even if the battery in the key goes flat, you don't need to resort to the button at the front of the tank yet. The (black) active key can also be used as a passive key (like the red key). Just stick the key up behind the dashboard really close, and the red slide switch will work to turn on the bike.
I find that if I give the switch a quick flip the dash does not always light up but if I give it a more positive push down and hold it there for a moment it works every time. Hope that works for you!
Make sure you keep the key away from your mobile as phones interfere with the signal between the hands free unit and key
