Knackered Tyre Removal

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Cream_Revenge, Oct 27, 2016.

  1. Hey

Both tyres going in the bin. Any reason I can't attack with a hacksaw/multi-tool rather than pay someone to remove if I deflate first?
    TIA

  2. CR, you will damage the rim cutting the beads - do not attack it with a cutting device. Best get some long tyre levers (>250mm ones not push bike ones), break the beads off the rim with your foot and with small pad to protect the rim lever the beads off. Takes two minutes with the right tools.

  3. OK, good to know. Thanks.
