The luggage capacity for the Scrambler is pretty limited but with a little ingenuity, we have a Kruega 30 with 2 10's as saddle bags, and a Kriega 20 with a 10 piggy back. The weather is Scotland has been atrocious but the bags have kept the contents perfectly dry. 10/10. Andy
Have just complained to Kriega about my old US10 regarding the peeling sticky rubber coating, they don't do that on the current version , odd that... Bought about 6-7 years ago. Unfortunately don't have proof of purchase otherwise it would have been an FoC replacement... Ten year warranty. However, they offered 50% discount on replacement. OK I said how about I order a US20, the response was affirmative so I now have a US10 and (slightly sticky) US20 combo. If you buy one keep your receipt. Good product and great customer service.
Seriously though, who the f@%k keeps receipts for that length of time? I sometimes come to claim business expenses 6m after they were spent and find that the till roll has virtually gone blank in a normal household environment.
I normally have a laptop in my Kriega luggage. Never had an issue, and done thousands of miles with them.
US30 in the top box just lift out. US10 is full of emergency stuff. Had these for over a decade with no issues.
Said many times before, I'm a big fan of Ventura, huge carrying capacity, rock solid mounting and 100% waterproof when rain cover used. Once parked up just lifts off the frame and has a carry handle or you can use the straps and wear it as a rucksack. I used 2 bags which zipped back to back and carried 10 days worth of clothing riding from Herts to west coast of Ireland.
I used a Kriega daily for 5+ years of commuting with one minor issue of the zip stitching coming a little loose right at the end. The only complaint I had was because it is a soft bag, varying degrees of loading required adjusting the tie down straps each time. I tried to resolve this by inserting some mdf panels in the side & top to create a sortov 'box' and it sortov worked.
To be fair, they just wanted proof of purchase. If ordered online I would have had an email somewhere. Searched for this as I couldn't remember, no result though. Must have bought it in a shop or quite likely the NEC show and obvs not retained the receipt.
My us20 has over 130k miles on it, been all over the highlands and literally one end of the country to the other, used every day on a commute all be it short journeys, was on the bike during an off that got stuck under a lorry and still 100% waterproof with no rips, the Oxford atlas I picked up today is isn’t look anywhere as well made in my eyes
From my own experience working in the trade, albeit many years ago, Oxford sell on price over quality. Things may have changed a little and some products are better than others but my impression of what I see in retailers these days this personal observation still holds true and I tend avoid them over better versions of the same product. I do get the point that getting into motorcycling isn't cheap and for those on a tight budget their products are an attractive alternative though. It's also a bit personal; in my time working in the trade one of my tasks was carrying out product photography for the outfit I worked for. Not only did the Oxford reps use images cut from our mail order catalogue when touting their wares around dealerships, Oxford's designers used one of our images to create some artwork for some product packaging, all without mention to us, let alone permission. A blatant copyright infringement. We had to send an cease and desist letter regarding this last matter. Cheeky feckers...
Mmm that’s dodgy! On product quality they have a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects which I find attractive.
Going by the bag I looked at yesterday mate, you’d be claiming on that as soon as you walked out the door, was very surprised how bad it was.
Another Kriega user here, the US 20. I know I had it in 2013, and still use it now. Reliable and 100% rain proof even now. Never washed, not well looked after..
Yes but is it "your lifetime" or the "lifetime of the product"? Cos if its the products lifetime and it's lifetime is only six months then that's shite
