V4 Laptimes On Dash 2025 Bike ?

  1. As per title what do you need to add to the bike to get the laptime gps enabled on the dash ? And what else does this give you, splits, up or down etc ?

I don't need datalogging just auto laptiming.

    Thanks.

  2. Good question Fastmonkey, something I’m interested in too. My understanding was I needed to buy the GPS module, about £400, however will wait from those that know.

  3. Yup, you need the module, but cheaper versions are also available.
My switch gear is a bit “race”, but data is the same I think.
Go to the track, start a lap, in my case pull the “start lap’ button, then every time you cross that point a lap time will end and another starts.
At the end of the session you can see all your laps, best lap, top speed, but not sectors.
I think there are also some track layouts stored somewhere in the menu.

  4. What he said, although I have found on mine the "Top speed" is actually an average lap speed. I think the stored circuits are for a preset bike setup for those circuits, and are limited to just a handful.

I think you only get sectors if you go for the full DDS Data acquisition package, which is around £1000 instead of £317 for just the gps lap timing module.

  5. I have the AIM EVO data logger installed, but need to obtain a Windows PC to run it…..

I do like the way the V4 dash speedo goes blank above 185mph :astonished:

  6. The V4 dash did go blank after 186mph on my 2023 (until I installed the Evo software), however the 2025 definitely reads a little higher. I have seen at least 188mph on the 2025 (I will look for a screenshot - found one showing 191mph, though I am sure I have seen 193/4ish before it flicks to ---).

  7. I don’t want to hijack this thread, but once I am Windows enabled I would love to explore the AIM software with you.

  8. Or just read the manual!
So a bike with no gps or dda you press the headlight flash at Start line and again at finish line
It’s worth getting the gps for 300 quid plus activation at dealer you still initiate the lap time with a press but it will find you at the finish line and then remember it for the next sessions until you go out of range
To activate the split times on a lap press to activate time at start then at the sectors press and hold momentarily at each sector .you don’t need the dda to get sectors .

  9. Thanks that's useful, I don't have the bike yet so no manual !

  10. Go to Ducati.com
You’ll find it on there under maintenance

I’d also recommend getting the evo software upgrade

  11. Not with the EvoII software upgrade it doesn’t. I was seeing 194mph (indicated) at Mugello before grabbing the brake…

  12. Thanks - Anywhere I can read up on the Evo Software upgrade ? I assume the dealer will charge for this ! ?

  13. “Seeing 194mph”…….
Here’s me trying that….. 185 mph max according to the timer :(

  14. That’s the million dollar question…. I recon no.even the old model was in Italian on you tube. it is a bit trial and error but does make sense for track
Particularly around the rear brake in abs 2 and abs 1

I did put forward for Ducati uk to do a seminar around it I’d pay £100 for a morning/ day presentation around it in English!
ps when it happens it was my idea !!!!

  15. What bike have you ordered?

  16. I sold my sim solo as the dash info let alone the dda if you want it is enough for me!
