Quick tip plz how do I brighten up the screen tapping F6 isnt working. Laptop is a sony vaio Thanks PJ.
There should be a blue button called fn. Press and hold then look for blue drawing of light bulb (probably over f6). While holding the fn keep pressing f6. If that is not helping find numlock button and check if it is off. If not off it and try above again. Which windows as there is another way if buttons do not work via power settings
If none of the buttons do it and its not a software power setting, then it sounds as tho your screen inverter is fooked. You'll be able to pick just an inverter up from Flee Bay quite cheap.....fitting them can be a bit of a faf on tho....
Just fitted a new screen to my mac . I would sooner do the valves on my 9R again than take it to bits, Or rather put it back together, and yes I had 5 screws and 2 pieces of plastic left when finished.
That sounds about normal :tongue: The inverter lives just below the screen....if its not a built in one:frown:
