Latest mods to my SF848

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Daver848, Jan 1, 2013.

  1. A few pics of my recent mods including the following.
    DP screen.
    DP carbon radiator side covers.
    DP carbon underseat panels.
    DP bar end weights.
    DP oil cap.
DP comfort seat and tank protector.
    Oberon clutch slave cylinder.
    Oberon Tax disc holder.
    Rizoma foot pegs.

In the garage waiting to be fitted.
    DP tail tidy.

    Next on order.
Gilles rear sets as I am still finding the pegs not quite right.
Rizoma bars (not sure about this but fancy raising the front a bit and the black will improve the looks.)
    Rizoma fluid pots.
Sliders not sure which ones yet.
A few more DP carbon bits.
    DP viper mirrors.
And last but not least Carbon cans (bloody expensive but look so nice and apparently improve the ride at lower revs.)
Thats it from me all comments welcome!

  2. Looking good.

  3. Just ordered some black rizoma ma005b bars and some black with red adjusters long Asv leavers (and these weren't even on my to order list!)
went for the 30mm rise bars over the 008's which have 50mm rise in the end so will see how I go with these and post pics once fitted.

  4. That seat looks nice. Which version/part is that? Gel,Touring?

  5. Think its called the comfort seat mate, about £125 from a dealer

  6. Really nice.

What makes Ducatis run better at lower revs is not the cans but fuel mapping and especially deleting the lambda probe from the software.

Did it to my 1098 SF and its magic.

  7. Hi all
Yes it's the comfort seat and I highly recommend it.
It tends to give a bit more support and doesn't push you in to the tank quite as much.
Also looked at getting a Corbin as they are always really nice quality and had a mad idea about getting one finished in brown leather to go on my red sf. Still undecided whether it would look really nice or a bit tatty so will stick with the comfort seat for now.
thanks for the comments I have a few more bits on order and sat in the garage so will update with pics soon!
    Cheers

Cheers mate I must say the low revs around town do get tiresome but once out of the traffic on the open road the engines an absolute blast! I will look into the fuel mapping option as this sounds like a good solution to the problem.

  9. I fitted the Gilles rear sets and find them a big improvement. I also have Gilles VCR rear sets and levers on the 1098s. Their stuff is top notch. :upyeah:
