1200 Led Lighting

  1. Bundles of these things on eBay. Keep toying with the idea on my multi. We got ours at similar times and seem to be doing similar mods [emoji106]

  2. I would be wary of this chap who claims that it is 125 watt when it is a 15 watt LED. The claimed 3000 lm, if you can believe it, output is lower than that of a 35 watt HID bulb (about 3500 lm).
Light is measured in lumen (lm) and not in watts.
They might look nice on some bikes though.

  3. the ones I ordered turned up today, quite bright and seem well made, I'll pop some pics of them fitted when I get a chance

  4. I have a set of these on my bike. They are fecking bright and until I adjusted them to tilt downwards so that their aim was within the dipped beam area I had loads of oncoming drivers flashing at me.
Technically, as spots they should only be on with the main beam but the downside to them is that, if you switch them off and on again they go into a dim mode, if you do it again they go into a flashing mode which might be great for being seen and getting through traffic would also be highly illegal in the UK, switch them again and they go back to full brightness. This means you can't connect them up to only come on off the main beam circuit because very time you use the dip switch they will change mode.
I have them on all the time with a switch on the bars. They certainly work as far as being seen goes. when out with friends they say it's like a lighthouse behind them.

  5. That's useful to know, I think I'll order a set. Where did you take the electrical feed from?

  6. I took a Tee off the GPS connector under the LH side of the tank.
