Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Duca999, Mar 27, 2017.

  1. Hello

I wonder if someone here have the Leo vince 57mm system on there 999 ?

Wondering how solution you made with the license plate holder and the license plate light?

I have bought complete LED light form radizant with integrated turn signal lights and brake /stop lights which I will mount on under the faring tail.

now i just use the the evotech from the termi system and it look like shit and have to clean up that mess.

    Thanks for help. 17555481_10158469108745424_1860920161_n.jpg 17555455_10158469108700424_2092616143_n.jpg

  2. I've got one of these systems and used a modified DP carbon fibre rear light support. I'll take pictures tomorrow and post.

  3. sounds nice.

  4. Here you go. The DP carbon bracket basically now just supports the number plate. The exhaust came with a light mounting bracket. You have to separate the rear light and number plate illumination lamp. You'll also have to make up some spacers. It all sounds a pain but the end result is reasonably tidy. Incidentally I've changed to LED rear and number plate lamps - got fed up with regularly blowing items. Have a look and ask any questions you like.

  5. I had a similar issue with the 57mm Termi system and back light / tail tidy. OK, not a Leo Vince system, but the principal is the same.

Some decent thickness ally plate, a generic LED back light and an hour or so in the garage and you can make your own. I used the standard wiring and "lost" the indicators.

The result worked for me, and has passed an MOT every year for the past 9 years.

My suggestion is to have a go making your own, with a simpler back light set up, and try to get it all mounted has high as possible. Get rid of the spacers and the plates etc, these just add unwanted metal and complication.

  6. I have a full led board in my oem stop tail light, much more satisfactory than an led bulb.
    Cheap too...

  7. Thank you so much for info and pictures from you guys. I still have not decided completely how to do it. But it will be one of the two solutions I have received from you.

Not done yet. But here's how the brake light and turns signal will look like on my bike.
