1200 Leo Vince & Termi Stubby Vs Full Termi... Opinions

  1. I know this has been asked before but after spending the last hour searching old threads I cant really seem to find what im looking for......

Just collected my 13 Pikes Peak and wanting to remove the cat.

The bikes fitted with a Termi stubby and im a little nervous of getting the leo vince decat pipes purley based on noise people say it produces... I know they do a removable baffle however after email talks with CJS a while back he recommended not fitting the extra baffle you can buy. I do a fair few miles and some touring and dont want the noise to cause monster headaches hahaha!

How does the sound compare to a full Termi system, is this the quieter option? I know its alot more expensive....... Whats the pros and cons of each?

    Thanks in advance

    Nick

  3. I have the termi stubby and leo setup and it's awesome, the db killer that they supply is rubbish from my point of view as it removes the bark, had a custom db killer made which just makes the bike a little less noisy but it's still nice and deep, don't worry about the noise wear ear plugs. :) bike does seem to run better without cat

  4. Where did you have the dB killer made do you have any pics of this ?

This does seem the cheapest route to go and i dont mind abit of noise but don't want something that's just crazy load and drives you mad on a 300 mile day trip

  5. I think it's going to be a bit loud for what you are after as I aimed for having the noise :) I don't have the details of the person who made it as it was a mates contact but it is better quality than the leo db killer imo and over £20 cheaper at £40. I'm sure I could ask him to see if he can get another one.
There are a few videos on you tube which give you an idea of the noise of the leo which swayed me towards that choice

  6. I used to have a drilled plate on my 2011 ,It was a disk that fitted between the can and the pipe , it certainly quietened the bike down a lot , though it was still loud.
reckon the stubby will get on your nerves on long trips , mine did and I like to make a racket

  7. Hmmmm. Looks like full Termignoni it is the. Better get digging in my pockets...

  8. You'll get a very fruity full sound from it.

  9. The Termi system or LV pipe with stubby?
