Lift needed- Sussex to King's Lyn

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by CRYSTALJOHN, Mar 23, 2013.

  1. I have bought another bike recently ( Triumph Sprint ST) and need to pick it up sometime in the near future from King's Lyn. I have researched various ways of getting there from where I live in Storrington ,West Sussex but they are all very time consuming and involve several changes, bearing in mind I will be carrying all my bike kit.

If anyone is going anywhere near King's Lyn from Sussex in the near future, I would welcome a lift and would be happy to contribute to fuel costs. I could meet up with you somewhere in Sussex in my car to make it easier!

  2. 3 changes from Pulborough station innit?

  3. Al I can get a National express coach to KL, but it doesn't arrive until 8:30pm! I would rather not have my first ride on the unknown bike in the dark, and I will inevitably be knackered once I have sorted out all the paperwork and set off for home.

  4. If you have to use the Nat Exp option and you feel that the ride from KL to here is not too bad, you can kip down here overnight for a ride back home in daylight.

I can probably get the bike under cover and secure somehow.....

Thank you so much for your very kind offer. I'm exploring a few different ways of getting to KL at the moment.

Ideally, I would like to get to KL sometime in the early afternoon, so as I can ride back to Sussex in the daylight.

The chap I have bought the bike from is waiting for the DVL to complete the reg transfer of his private plate. I'm not in a hurry to pick up the bike as It's too cold for me to ride at the moment.

I have C.O.P.D, which makes walking any distance, especially when I have to carry bike gear, very difficult for me. I have done it before on the train, and struggling on the tube was not pleasant!

I did have your address at one time, from when you very kindly sorted out a throttle adjuster for my Velo Le, but I have mislaid it. Would you remind me where you live?

    Kind regards, John.
