Ok folks on my other bikes I used to run HID units however on my 2010 multi there is not enough room for a neat install into the stock light fittings so.. What are the best filament lamps to get idealy with a strong white light for normal and dipped beam and are there aftermarket led lamps that could be slaved off the high beam relay or a seperate switch for mounting under the cowl for a close wide low spread of light. I realy want to do the lot for sub £100 if I can
Myself, and plenty others, have HID fitted to the low beams, Some folks have managed to fit them to both beams. AndyW's site has all the info you need - Motorcycle Info Pages - MTS1200 Electrical Stuff > MTS1200 HID Conversion
Do the low beam mod first. This gives the biggest diference for least amount of money. Then try some Philips blue vision or vision plus bulbs. I did have HIDs fitted to my high beam, but not fitted them onto my new bike as yet, as I was not happy with the install the first time around. Be aware that the trim around the rear of the light units and also the tank is removed for a service, so wherever you fit the units, they need to accomodate this.
