I'm going to put a set of lightweight wheels on the 959. Keen to put a lighter weight rear disc on too. Any recommendations? A quick google has failed to find anything that is listed as being lighter. Cheers, Bob
Will have set of spare wheels with discs up for grabs soon Mr @scrawnsenior if you know any one who might want a set [?]
Sorted over here thanks mate, if you'd caught me a few months ago I would've had them. Bought a set to go with a 959 we have for sale soon. Are you not keeping a set for your wets?
No need for wets at my ripe old age! I told Trig about the 959 that may be up for grabs. I thin he might be tempted...
Just look out for any bearing fitment issues. I ran some Dymags UP7X Forged alloy wheels on my blade and found a spinning bearing on the front wheel on one side. As in the bearing OD was machined out of tolerance so basically the bearing wasn't seating tightly. And they were out of warranty! Was a cheap fix but disappointed of not much technical help. I've since purchased the new OZ Gass wheels for the 959 and Have to say the quality is far superior. You haven't much choice with rear disc other than Galfer or EBC lightweight rotors.... I purchased the EBC and even though it's well cutout and vented they have upped the thickness from 4.5mm OE size too a hefty 5.5mm pretty sure the Galfer is the same...but both are still lighter than the OE disc. Not sure on the looks either! im going to get my OE disc Machined early next year.
