Litelok X3 / Hiplok D1000 (locks) - Any Experience Of Them?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Cris_, Feb 24, 2023.

  1. Hi :)

I'm considering buying 1 of these angle grinder resistant locks, do any of u have any experience of them? I'm hoping it'll fit around the front wheel & tyre of my 2018 V4 Pani.

  3. I have used the Litelok for the past 4 maybe 5 years and I feel the bike is totally secure with it. I fit it through either wheel and to a solid object, or through the rear wheel and swing arm, if there's nothing available. The key is to keep it of the ground to make more difficult to attack. On a bike trip to Scotland last year I met a fellow biker in the hotel carpark who was using a very heavy chain & lock, he had the chain through his rear wheel of his Yamaha 9GT and lying on the ground and unfortunately the chain was there in the morning cut through and the bike was gone. So my litelok attached to a new V4S Multi, was obviously enough to deter the scumbags.

  4. Thanks for the reply. I actually bought (well, paid & pre-ordered for April delivery as that's when they are manufacturing more) the Litelok X3 a little earlier today, sounds like I made the right decision.

  9. It's perfect for touring, curls up pretty small, light weight (obviously) so very easy to store anywhere. As I said it I use all the time if I'm leaving the bike unattended and it's served me well. :upyeah:

  10. My lad has a D1000, however it’s designed for push bikes not really motorcycles. It locks around his back wheel and swingarm, using one of the ‘spokes’ of the wheel.

There was a waiting list to buy them such was the demand, hopefully that no longer applies.

Skip to about 5:30 for the results.

  11. Litelok X1

No heavier than a similar size D-Lock, but more resistant to angle grinder attack.
