Living Room/snooker Room Lighting

  1. anyone got any thoughts on led lighting for a living room that’s only going to be a bit of a games room as long as I live here as we have a little lounge upstairs so I’m getting a small snooker table downstairs, option one is 8 spots plus some wires putting in for cameras and outdoor lights but only wires, socket, dimmer but it’s coming in at £700 which is stretching the budget a bit.

Option 2 is the present two lights are changed for nice led plus the camera and outdoor wiring that would come in around £500.

Firstly it’s a living room second is the fact a snooker table is going in it so I’d like a nice set up but just wondering if anyone knows of nice lighting bearing in mind two mates both sparkles have said you don’t install central lights anymore and spots is the way to go

Appreciate any thoughts on led lights on a dimmer

  2. Make sure you choose the right LED lamps, some don't like dimmers... most dimmers are phase angle type.

And what are are the cameras for?:eyes:

  3. Yes I have seen some led say can use dimmers so that’s an issue as some cannot
