OK, so this might seem like a bit of a random question... I need to find a mobile phone for a friend who is slightly deaf. It has to be a basic phone - able to make calls and send texts - no smartphones, and not touchscreen. It has to have predictive text, and has to have a loud ringtone. So far I've found several phones that are designed to have a loud ringer for the elderly and/or hard of hearing, but none of them have predictive text. Anyone have any recommendations ? Cheers !
Telecommunication - Action On Hearing Loss: RNID I know you said no smart phone etc but some here may be worth a look - in case you can't find an ideal. Alternatively, there are contact details - an email enquiry may provide elicit options - worth a try?
Cheers guys. El T - The sad thing is that I remember that when it was originally on TV... TT & John - Thanks for the info. The Doro phones might be looking good - loud and with predictive text... I'll let you know how we get on.
Update - went and talked to the local "phone shop". Go Mobile, Tavistock - very helpful... Ended up with a Nokia 222 - basically very similar to the Nokia 206 it was replacing, but with a very loud ring. Job done...
