Hi Riders.. I am sure all of us noticed that there is no fuel gauge on this beast. Imagine, ater awhile riding the bike, low fuel indicator came out. And you just pass the fuel station WITHOUT refuelling . In how many miles this indicator will illuminates..?? So that we can prepare for refuelling. Thanks... Cheers
In the early days of 1198 ownership, I used to get caught out regularly and have gone 9-12 miles with the light on a number of times... I think the maximum I ever did was 15 miles with very steady riding and it was fine but really running on fumes by the time i made the petrol pump. I seem to recall someone on here (@cookster maybe ) managing slightly more on his on the odd occasion of being caught out...
Ive got 25 miles after light. I was on fumes in 6th and trickling to station. I wouldnt risk anything further than 20, consider 15 to be safe limit.
