Low Head Socket Cap bolts

  1. Well.........I have searched eveywhere for a supplier of small quantity (50) Low Head Socket Cap BZP (or YBZP) M8 x 20 bolts...10.9 min strength.......

    ...anyone know where to get them?

    I can buy a box of 200 for an exorbitant price........but I don't need 200.

  3. Why do you need 10.9? I presume you are using these to hold your discs on. 12.9 is too brittle by the way.

  6. Thanks Pete.................but I specifically want plated low head socket caps.

    The socket in most button head and flanged button head is pretty bl**dy useless and usually a Torx bit has to be bashed in to remove them.........even with new decent quality bits.........

    ......the stainless cheese versions, being worse.

    I'll keep searching and may have to get a box of 200.

  7. I have recently been buying socket head bolts for a little project i have and get pkts of 50 for less than £3 from screwfix.
    Low head, excellent stainless m4/5/6 .

    You cant complain at those prices.

  8. Screwfix have low head ones? (Not button head?) I couldn't find them.

  9. No, screwfix sell standard head bolts.

    I also found the button heads to be dreadful, and ended up having to chisel a few out.

    I think you'll just have to bite the bullet and buy 200.
    I'm sure you could easily package up the rest and sell them on ebay at an exhorbitant price!!
