My 2013 multi has been laid up for over a year, decided to get my shit together and get it serviced and mot’d, started up fine and ticks over fine but have a fuel sender issue and engine warning displayed in the round screen, so I have stripped the bike ready to change the fuel sender, I know the maf sensor is a common issue so thinking this maybe why I have the engine warning, I have had the bike from new so they are the original sensors, original Ducati ones are £100 each, pattern ones approx £20, don’t really want to spunk £200 on a guess they might be faulty, but while the tank is out it makes sense to change the one under the tank, anyone have any experience with options other than the expensive Ducati ones.
If a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor has failed it should show a "Pressure" waring in the display, but if the fuel sender has also failed it may just show whichever has come first. You would be best to connect Melcodiag to the bike and read off the error codes rather than changing things indiscriminately.
