call me a prude, but I was quite shocked when I saw this advert on TV the other day. It's not like some subtle bit of double entendre... it's blatant wanking off. Just not something I expected to see in an advert. I'm not saying it's not funny, it's the placement.
I think the maltesers adverts are hilarious. Very clever. Have you seen the two girls doing sign language one? Love it.
What? You got to start having more faith! Next you'll be saying there is no sex in the champagne room
I think it's more offensive to the disabled. Don't care about the wanking. It's not funny enough to get away with it. The rule is if it's funny and makes you laugh despite the dodgy ground it's on it's ok. This fails that test.
I dont think it is particularly funny or offensive but why do you think it is more offensive to the disabled ? One thing I am sure of though is that if the ad had featured men talking and making hand gestures about women in that way then the internet would have erupted with outrage .
I think most humour is defined as are you laughing at them or laughing with them? For me the add shows disabled are people too so I found her actions funny. As to rude and innuendo, can't beat the old carry on films
I guess having uncontrollable spasms is a crappy thing to have to live with for some people and means they can't feed themselves or use a phone or write or numerous other things we take for granted.
Seems every advert is trying to tick every bloody PC box. Gay Man couple - tick White couple - tick Mixed race couple - tick Black couple - tick Lesbian couple - tick Mixed race lesbian couple - tick Asian(ish) mixed race man with white man gay couple - tick Disabled mixed race man with white man gay couple - tick And so on and on.... I have no objection to any of the above - but for fucks sake we KNOW now! Also do we really need to see two young lads snogging in a TV commercial?
Perhaps some feel they should be pitied instead of laughing with them? What next, saying oap's shouldn't have sex? It's a malteser advert, I think you are reading far too much into it.
