I want to achieve a matt finish on my engine. I found this, it's not high temp but should be ok?

Yep, should be fine. You only really need high temp for exhausts.

I was wondering how to protect my cases when I get them vapour blasted at the end of the year. After inheriting the bike in.a state, I'm paranoid about keeping it clean! Good spot.
