  1. Mini Cooper S R53

06 last year of the supercharged engine,

    Dark Silver, Black roof

Chrono model so has the extra gauges in the centre, Water, oil, oil pressure and fuel.

    Half leather front seats

    81.5k

    Rides on run flats.

Twin exhaust conversion carried out by the previous owner and fitted with coil overs lowered 2 inch.
MOT till November, all the work that was advisory on it’s last test was rectified, the main item was a rear calliper replaced and although not part of it’s advisory the power steering pack was replaced.

The notorious water in the battery tray isn’t present on this car nor is the boot lid rusty.

Has CD/radio and a CD player in boot holds 6 CD’s, currently Planet Rock and a Nirvana CD, Nirvana not included in sale.

In the last 2 years it’s only covered around 3k Miles as it was bought as toy before I became too old to get in and out with any dignity.

It’s just not getting the use I thought it would and sits there unused.

Looking for £2300 or reasonable offers.

  5. Yeah, that’s decent value, this is a properly fun car to drive, still think it’s the favourite car I’ve ever had. Mine was a 2006 checkmate

  6. I was at Knockhill last w/e for the Scottish round of the BTCC, they had several single type Mini Challenge Cup races, boy can those things shift, they put on a good show.

  10. When I was looking the Checkmates commanded better money but don’t know why.

  11. the checkmate had a lot of spec as standard, so it sort of kept the prices high. Also the 2006 cars had the Eaton ceramic tipped super chargers that the early JCW cars got so a better basis to get the supercharger wound up a bit.

mine was thirsty though! Christ, never got more than 28mpg! When I sold it a few weeks before I changed the air filter for some reason and the old one was fairly dirty and it jumped to 31mpg but still only the same fuel economy as my Focus ST but that thing had 250hp!

  12. I kept engine standard no alterations to the engine at all, I was tempted to alter the pulley angle but thought it might start a getting silly. Didn’t bother with the MPG thing as it would probably upset me.:)

  13. If you have performance you don't get fuel economy, but you do have fun. If you have fuel economy, you have zero performance and no fun whatsoever.

  14. Good Luck with the sale N - what a little cracker.

  15. Owned a Fiat 126 in a previous life, economical but had just as much fun in that than way more powerful cars. Trying to wring every last ounce of speed from it used to have my passengers and me laughing our heads off.
