does the mirror glass/holder pop out with a bit of persuasion from behind with something in the hole underneath please? one of my mirror glass is scored badly and i have a spare to fit tomorrow, dont want to smash anything tho popping it out?
Undo the retaining screw underneath (through the hole) a little to release the ball joint and it will pop out.
The screw is a Philips head unless it is a much newer mirror as per 998's as some of these used a torx screw of the same size as the fairing screen screws.
be careful not to overtighten the clamp screw on replacement as they can strip - sometimes more so if someone has been there before.
