Anyone used them, they appear to be a much cheaper option than Akro or Termi - will the best start point be a Termi ECU with them, the Italian Seller says they don't need a different ECU which seems wrong with no CAT?
I enquired about these for the 848 sf with gb moto or something like that on eBay. They told me it would be fine if you kept the baffles in but if you wanted them out they recommended getting a remap....
Leo Vince are better quality. As good as Akro or Termi IMO. And a similar design. The Leo Vinces have straight through baffles, like Termis. If you decat you need to remap. The preprogrammed ECU supplied with Termis is a starting point but they're still a one size fits all compromise. Don't trust the manufacturers when they say no need to remap. You will. Having said that, I've just checked LV's website and they don't list cans for the SF any more. Ebay..?
Are you hoping to avoid the cost of a remap or do you want a second ECU to return the bike to standard if required?
Would be good to be able to return to standard but I plan on it living with me for many years so not the biggest consideration. I might wait for a decent set of second hand Akro's or Termi's to come up as I like the looks better (in that order). Can't quite see the aesthetics of the Austin System gelling with me - don't like the angle and the single can as much. I'll keep my eye open over winter
There were some Termis on Ebay the other day I think they were £699. Here ya go: DUCATI STREETFIGHTER 848 / 1098 09 / 13 EXHAUST TERMIGNONI TITANIUM | eBay Or carbon ones: Termignoni Carbon - Ducati StreetFighter 848 / 1198 /S Exhausts 94dB Muffler | eBay I am also not sold on the Austin single pipe. I was following a used one on Ebay which finished last night. According to the seller Ducati Manchester turned off the warning light on the dash and said it did not need remapping as the ecu was self learning?????
Wonder if that is true, never heard of it before so probably not I guess. Seen the Ebay ones but I will wait for a low mileage bargain with ECU I think cheers
