I have a newish Motorola G7 Plus Android phone that I could chuck in the bin happily and it's only a few months old. Asking for opinions won't work as everyone will have on but I can't see any way forward. I don't want to "Apple" my life and so I think that only leaves crappy Android? Anyone got a non-Apple phone that they actually like? A few years ago, I bought a Microsoft phone. That had no useful apps available, so that was binned.
I’m no tech expert but Android and Apples OS are your only 2 options for smart phones. Happy if there is another option. Update there are others, I had no idea
I got a spam call from "BeatTheMarket" or someone, the stupid phone started to talking to me about the call. I don't want to discuss it with my phone, I just want it to ring like phones are meant to! I think that it thought that i was driving a car. It doesn't want to distract me if I am driving but thinks that a conversation with the phone is less distracting. It would have been if I stopped the car and threw the phone into the hedge.
Possibly google assistants default settings. Hopefully someone that knows Android better will be along to help you turn that off, or change its settings to work how you’d like.
Good Luck! I had physio this morning and was given more little fiddly tasks with my left hand. My physio did admit that she is testing my patience, specifically. One task was screwing and unscrewing a circular nut from a bolt with four washers. I don't get angry at that because this is something that I ant to do - and I can't afford to smash ip Ducatis! - which she probably knows as she is quicker on the uptake than me!
I despise android. Apple is the only thing mobile wise I can get on with. It just works. It’s intuitive. for me atleast
I moved to an Android phone earlier this year because the iPhone battery life is shit. The battery life on the Android phone is brilliant but the operating system is dog shit in comparison to Apple's.
That is a consideration. My Motorola battery life is very good, to be fair to it (and I don't want to be!).
Don’t have a major problem with the battery life on Iphone7 but ... I am usually at a desk or in the car, having said that lasts all day with out problems if I don’t live on it. With the iPad at home just makes things simple.
Have an iPhone 11 Pro and the battery is fine. On earlier phones you can get cases with built in batteries. Doesn’t address the fundamental flaw with the device but does work to bypass the problem.
The ONLY time I use/carry a mobile is whilst on holiday on my bikes in case of breakdowns, other than that they live on/in the Welsh Dresser at my home. Oddly enough they/Mobile phones never seem to bother me in any way???? I've now got to 63+ years old and still don't feel the need to be in contact with the wider world, unless it's an emergency. Most of you have become slaves to modern technology, maybe it's time to take stock of what's important in your lives? Steve R
Always use Sony find them easy to use and fairly tough, I fu##ng hate fones and technology i,d happily exist without either! I have a new work fone coming tomorrow and the thought has me already foaming at the mouth!!
Unfortunately some of us have to live in a world that requires connectivity due to work which in the 2020’s really requires a mobile phone. At home my phone goes in a draw, is not the Ducati Forum the wider world?
