748 Modified Battery Tray

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by SamRforce, Nov 9, 2019.

  1. Just wanted to share an easy way to modify your battery tray, designed for a Yuasa YB16AL-A2, to fit the smaller and lighter BT12B-BS. Maybe this can help.
    Materials :
    Velcro loops on textile belt
    Velcro hooks on tape

    Cheers

  2. Sam did you now there is a different battery box base tray available which makes it suitable for the later YT12B-BS (smaller) agm battery? Part number is 829.1.270.1A and they cost around a tenner. It just clips in and replaces the support tray of the battery box but uses a different battery retaining clip part number 827.1.195.1A (also less than a tenner) Can be removed should you want to revert to the bigger battery for any reason

  5. The +\~ are the other way so I had to turn the battery 180* but it worked out well.
