Guys I need a Monoposto seat bracket for my Bip to Mono 748 conversion. I've found an OEM one on E-Bay for £30, however a Slovakian company sell there own for £12. The problem is I'm loathed to order the Slovak one if it's going to crap & or not right as returning it will be expensive. I've attached links for both. Just wondered if any members has any knowledge/experience of the Slovak ones before I buy? The Slovakian ones are fine but you need to fit the correct spacers. I bought a so called modified one of these off eBay last week, it's not brilliant at all but I'll let you have it for a lot less than £12 odd and it will do the job. I haven't checked it out fully yet but I'll check it now to determine spacer length PM me and I will give you the full lowdown and I'll supply some spacers made on my lathe at cost if you want it.
Don't know about the overseas one but you might want to check the new price before buying the £30 item, I've noticed many used parts from that seller at the same price as (or more than) new from Ducati - he does clean them up nicely though...
The flat bracket is nothing like £30 I believe it's no more than £15 and possibly a lot less. I bought two last year and they are available but need to be ordered as I was told they are not a stock item. They are now just plain silver plated finish, they are not yellow passivated so they must now be on to a new batch. You will still need spacers though.
The OEM offering on ebay doesn't look right. I have 748 cup carbon fibre and 748R seats and both have brackets like the eastern european offering. Andy
The bracket is a correct mono bracket for a plastic OEM 748/9** style and it is the one most used by Ducati. The rice that the lister is asking is way out though, they cost nothing like the amount he wants.
