  1. And that article under sells the problem. If you want to hire a car in Europe you have to get a code from the licence share page and it is only valid for 72 hours. Absolute crap, couldn't organise a drinks party if they lived in a pub. Andy

  2. They are more pragmatic (and cheatable) in mainland europe - thy just accept a credit card style licence without all the fuss seen in the UK. I have driven countless hire cars in france, germany, belgium, holland spain, greece and have never produced a paper copy and never been asked about points etc.

  3. They wont know anyway, so just produce what you normally would.

    Or log in yourself on license checker and show them, if it becomes a showstopper
