Been a while since I did a newbie intro. Long time reader, first time poster sort of thing. I picked up a 2000 900SS I.e a year back that was in a sorry state, stored outside for two years in the best welsh weather, no one know why it had been laid up as the owner had passed away, no oil visible but oil on the ground and surrounded by dog eggs. I went through it with a basic recommissioning brief and once roadworthy I decided to keep it. From then over the last year it’s been a case of repairing parts as they fail. Front wheel bearings collapsed, lower head bearing collapsed and seized locking the steering, starter motor brushes worn and motor full of dust so needed a rebuild (but not before I got pretty good at bump starting). It’s a nice bike to ride and work on. More reliable than the Aprilia Caponord I had a decade back, and about on a par with the V11 Scura. https://flic.kr/p/MKCVK3

welcome doggy dave. The pictures you posted might be worth creating seperate albums? You use a stihl, there are some people who do in here, that poor porsche, we have some of those people in here, you like cycle touring and camping? we have some of those people in here but what we don't have in here is a picture of a naked bloke with ringed doughnut on his gentlemans sausage, as does your pics Oh and don't forget the bin
