I've decided to ditch BT as my internet provider as they mess me around on my payments and always end up in arrears despite asking them to increase my payment. For next year I'm going to give the MotoGP app a try for the year as it'll work out a lot cheaper. Question is, who does the commentary and are there presenters as other sport events such as F1?
Interesting, and useful for me to hear that you are not happy with the MotoGP app @Daddy2coull as I was considering purchasing for this years watching the racing. I seem to recall that others on here have mentioned that they were happy with it, even preferred it to BTsports version. I do like the commentators with BT sport. I find Suzy Perry excellent at her job, a real knowledgeable professional , respected by all the riders too, which is no mean feat to achieve. The input and banter from the likes of Colin Edwards, James Toseland, Neil Hodgson, Michael Laverty is also first class. Only thing I would alter is to give Simon Crafar the sack.
I personally don’t like Tossland. At the moment I have an almost 80mb BT infinity connection. The streaming on the MotoGP app is terrible. Constantly freezing. On the last race I was almost one whole lap behind live coverage at the end of the race. I had friends texting and calling me before I’d got to the end. The picture quality also looks like a 1980’s pirated porn film. It won’t let me watch it on my smart tv or through my iPhone onto my smart tv. Considering all the other live streaming services seem to provide a great service I’m shocked by this one. Certainly won’t be getting my money next year.
crafar does come across like a stumbling bumbling fool... but hes a kiwi... waddayagunnado? deport us all? found him very cringeable to begin with but if you get past his speech impediment he does know his stuff and brings some good insight.. no worse than toseland and at least he not all about his hair cut...
I have nothing personal against Simon Crafar, and his nationality is irrelevant to me . I fully appreciate that he has brain damage after an accident which is terrible. I am paying a lot of money to watch the MotoGP though and imo he is not the best person for the job.
Like the clueless beer add bird? The current formats pretty good in my opinion, although I miss the depth of knowledge that Julian Ryder brought. Bt's prices are getting beyond a joke though.
The pricing is the reason I switched to the app. But I’m going to have to ditch back for next year. It really is unwatchable.
I am on my second year of MotoGP app subscription and its great. I have zero issues on a 25Mb connection and have no problems going again another year. The benefits I find are that there is no waiting around for the races after they've finished. They're usually available to watch pretty quickly but on BT I was sometimes waiting until the next day. Only but I miss is the commentary and Hodgson and crew
Yep , another GP app subscriber for the 4th year now. No issues at all. Used it all the time in Asia when I lived there too. Use it on 3G , 4G and obviously WiFi. Love being able to watch live and if the desire takes me watch reruns of any race I like.
