Hi, I am looking for a hydraulic motorbike work bench if anyone can point me in the right direction, link, company etc. Most of the UK stockist are 'out of stock' (lockdown project building demand), I am looking in the sub £400 range. Would consider a good second hand one if anyone has one, thanks
I had a standard size one some years ago and eventually gave it away! Whenever it was in the down position, I was always skinning my shins on it, it also took up too much room and was so bloody heavy it was difficult to move around etc.. However, if these had been around, I would have bought one instead, https://cjautosheywood.co.uk/product/scissor-bike-lift-450kg-mb03x/
Can’t quite see the point in that. No way of supporting the bike to remove the wheels. I agree that the platform style lift can be bulky and awkward to store although my solution was to put one of the bikes on it when it’s not in use. Andy
My bikes stayed on the bench too when not in use, but with very limited space in my skinny 1930's garage, it didn't stop the shin-skinning - the workbench footprint was simply too great for my location. I never removed a wheel with the stand raised, so that was not one of my considerations, but you're right.. if you want to raise your bike to change wheels, this stand is pish.
@Nelson Could well be interested. Just got a few purchases to sort and I will drop you a pm if and when. If you sell before that’s fair enough. Cheers Bradders.
