Moving West

  1. We had an open day on our house on Saturday and accepted an offer of full asking price today which is great news.

    As a result we are now looking for a house near Taunton (where my wife's family are from) in earnest. Big garage a must ;-)

    Exciting times but I'm going to miss the Hampshire roads and our friends. I can't share it on Facebook as my wife's work can't know yet, but I wanted to share somewhere!

  2. Or room to build your garage bespoke :) it was my main priority but with a limited budget I had to settle for a single garage, knowing the house had a drive way width at the opposite side and room for a double garage round the back I went for it and built one :Happy:

  4. It's nice around Taunton, but from memory, not so nice IN Taunton.
    I guess you'll be living around it!

  5. Yep around it is the idea. Taunton is ok these days but I'd rather be a little more in the sticks!

  10. Some cracking roads around the levels, the Quantocks and Exmoor. Plus Wales is only a short hop away :upyeah:

    .....the typical potential punter's comment?............ "Not any shops or buses"

  13. Snells is a bit of a track but will always be first choice.

    Not sure the roads in Somerset need an 848......might be more Hyperstada type roads ;-)

  17. Congratulations Ali on the move......you will be missed up this way BUT it`s good to know we have a nice stop off down west in the future.
    Hypermotard is better than the strada....more barp for your money :)

  19. Shit just got real! Offer accepted on a place!

    Needs work to modernise but in a nice part of town and with room for me to build a double garage and office ;)
