My first post as i'm about to give up trying to sort this issue out. It is this: I have an MTS1200 (11 plate). Her on the back gets cold so bought a Keis heated vest which came with a free temp. controller. Bike has 2 out put sockets so I thought this would be easy, ho ho. Question is, what power out put are the sockets as the free controller is rated at 5 amps, a £40 heavy duty one is available from Keis at extra cost! Second, Who makes a lead that can fit the DIN 4165 socket and plug into the temp. controller lead at the other end. Keis don't, i've rung them. My local Ducati delaers are clueless so am asking here. ALL I WANT is to be able to plug the vest in to the provided socket. By the way who's bright idea was it to put the left hand one so close to the spring out handle; which means I need a right angle plug. Sorry for long spiel but would be thankful for any help. (I could use battery lead provided with vest but want to use the sockets on the bike). Thank you all.
The output is 12v, so any lower-rated accessories will need a device to downgrade the voltage, something akin to a car charger that plugs into the lighter socket.
have run my keis jacket with the thumb size controller direct from the battery via the supplied lead and socket. The keis jackets are 12v to my knowledge. these din sockets should do the trick i would prob get the 90 degree one to avoid legs and exhausts, then fix the supplied wire into it.
