Doing some serious touring this year and expect all weathers Read plenty about the new Michelin pilot bit run the dunlops on my steet triple find them great in the wet and cold Anyone had experience would appreciate it those pilots don't come cheep!! Sent from my Lumia 800 using Board Express
My multi has got Dunlop Road Smarts on it, and so far they appear to be pretty good, i swapped to these on my Triumph ST 1050 and had two lots on that, for an all round tyre they were pretty good on that. I suppose multi is a bit heavier than the St tho, but the triple compound should help.
I recommend you look into the Michelin PR3. They offer good mileage and are brilliant in the wet. They really work well on the 1200 and I know plenty of others who have found the same good results.
thanks kirky been having a serious look at these they are a bit pricey how is the dry grip my roadsmarts are spot on
Dry grip is also excellent and gives me enough confidence to get close to the edge on nice warm tarmac. They also feel nice and secure on cold damp roads unlike the Scorpions that I found a bit edgy and had a few moments on damp roads. My Pr3's have now done over 5K and are only now starting to get a little bothered by white lines, road undulations. Probably change them in another 1.000 miles in readiness for a trip into Belgium.
PR3s are great, quick warm up, lots feedback, great in the wet, I gave a longer description of my experience in the PR3 thread in tyres, I would recommend.
Cheers Steve That's them ordered with service looking like a no brainer Sent from my Lumia 800 using Board Express
