My 2019 Multi only has 4K on the clock and I'm going to do my own oil and filter change. Used to do all my own work on the ST2 and Air Cooled multi before. I believe this 1260 engine has the oil screen too ? If so, does it need checking/cleaning at this mileage ? And if so is there a crush washer required ? Thanks
Oddly, the Owner’s Manual only makes reference to the oil screen at the 600 mile initial oil change. IME, unless the oil is extremely dirty or the sump plug has “fur” on the magnet, I’d look at the oil screen every other oil change. The parts fiche, available here, https://downloads.ctfassets.net/oif...43e78f/SPC_-_Multistrada_1260_-_EN_-_MY19.pdf, shows a large and a small ‘O’ ring. Andy
Spoke to Snell's at Alton. They said doesn't need looking at unless you see something nasty on the drain plug !
